About the artwork:
"Horse in the Field" is a work that aims to bring us to the contemplation of God's creations. We can enter a contemplative state to observe and profitably enjoy something that is beautiful in itself: A horse living in the field. There is no need for additions or subtractions, the work is ready, the horse is in the field. Illuminated by the light of day, the horse remains in the field, in a way that could not be otherwise. With this work, I seek to emphasize the tender, simple, and gratifying feelings of observing the things God created around me. Life is something that fascinates me and transports me to a very delicate understanding of the purpose of things. Without life, nothing would be. And the horse in the field is alive, drinking from the fountain of living water that flows infinitely. All life is authored by the Lord, and I chose the horse in the field to remind you of this. You and I are alive, and thus, we can appreciate the life of the horse in the field. Let us be grateful. Praised be the name of the Lord, who made all things.
Concepts of the artwork:
Horses are fantastic creatures. Beautiful and gentle. Simple and strong. Powerful, fast, and very friendly. I couldn't help but make the beauty and lightness of this animal, which I admire so much, a theme of my works. It is mesmerizing. Every time I encounter a horse, I feel totally impacted by its presence. Especially large, strong, beautiful, and well-cared-for horses.
I feel a very deep sadness when I see how many of them are mistreated and used as tools for work in the middle of the big city. I believe this is one of the reasons I want to portray a horse living free in a field.
